Stuffed Dates with Marzipan & Ginger
Ingredients:
1 box of dates – without stones preferably
150 – 200gr Marzipan
3-4 tablespoons Tiptree Ginger Conserve
Blanched Split Almonds – for decoration
Crystallized ginger – for decoration
Castor sugar -for dusting
Method
Check that every stone has been removed from dates
To remove stone in the dates: make a slit lengthwise down the date, but don’t cut it in half.
Cut and roll marzipan into small sausage shapes the length of each date
Spoon a little Ginger Conserve into date, top with marzipan
Put castor sugar on a plate and roll the dates in it, not the marzipan
Decorate with crystallised ginger and almonds
